Meet the interns!
Bio: Will is a Chemistry major at Purdue University and will be returning for his 5th year in the fall. He is from Western Massachusetts and enjoys golfing and going to concerts in his free time. So far this summer he has enjoyed his time living in Louisville and appreciates the many options of things to do in the city.
Long-Term Goals: I’ve always wanted to work in a lab. I want to do something with food and science but I’m not exactly sure what yet.
What will you be doing at Flavorman this summer? Learning how the beverages are made and what goes into them, and hopefully learning more about compounding flavors soon. My goal for this summer is to make my own drink and develop my own flavor.
If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life what would it be? Old fashioned.
Bio: Bradley is a native to Louisville and graduated from the University of Louisville in May with a degree in Chemical Engineering. In his free-time he likes to travel, play tennis, hike, camp, spend time outdoors, and challenge other Flavorman employees to cook-offs.
Long-Term Goals: to become a certified Flavorist.
What will you be doing at Flavorman this summer? I’ve been working in the lab making formulas and doing flavor compounding. I like coming to the back to work with Tom, the Flavorist, and helping with whatever he’s doing.
If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life what would it be? Raspberry Coke.
Bio: Lilli is an upcoming junior at the University of Kentucky where she is pursuing degrees in Integrated Strategic Communication and Sociology. She is a native to Louisville and a proud graduate of duPont Manual High School. When she’s not in the marketing department, you can likely find her waiting tables at Captain’s Quarters, online shopping, and trying out all the good places to eat in town.
Long-Term Goals: In the future I’d like to pursue a career in Public Relations and live somewhere with enough land that I can own an alpaca.
What will you be doing at Flavorman this summer: So far I have helped create a social media calendar and have been writing blog posts for our website and Facebook pages. My goal for the summer is to help Flavorman have a larger presence online and on social media and help generate new clients and publicity for the company.
If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life what would it be: 1% milk.
Moonshine University Intern
Bio: Sam graduated from Miami University in May with a degree in Biology. During his junior year he was brought to Moonshine U through his Fermentation class at Miami University, which sparked his interest in the distilling industry. His other interests include hiking, backpacking, and rock-climbing. Sam is from Oxford, Ohio but is enjoying his time living in Louisville this summer. His favorite part about the city is the food.
Long-Term Goals: I know I want to work in distilling or brewing so I’m hoping to figure out where I can fit in in the industry.
What will you be doing at Moonshine U this summer? So far this summer I’ve been helping set up and tear down for the classes, and I’ve been able to sit in on the classes which is really cool. Other than that I help with general upkeep in the building and have been keeping records and learning about everything that goes into running a distillery.
If you could only drink one beverage for the rest of your life what would it be? Coffee.
