Flavorman

Hard seltzer is all the rage these days, but how long will it be before people grow weary of the same old citrus flavors they’ve been getting? We’ve already started seeing some movement toward flavor combos like cherry-lime; but at Flavorman, we’re always on the lookout for the unexpected and delicious flavors. This time, we’re out to impress the Father of Fizz, Joseph Priestley, himself along with your crazy-healthy hippy aunt. So let’s dive in and explore some possible flavors and maybe inspire you to think of your own awesome flavor, which of course, we’d be happy to help you develop.

The Berries

One of the challenges with hard seltzers is getting a little sweetness without ruining the health advantages by adding a lot of sugar. Berries, like blueberry, raspberry, and strawberry, are a perfect solution because they’re packed with natural sweetness and sweet summertime memories.

Bitters

If you’re not necessarily looking for sweet, then bitters might be something you want to look into. This cocktail additive and stomach calmer made from bitter root can add a surprising amount of flavor with the right formulation. You might think it would be just a bitter flavor, but you might also find hints of clove, tamarind, and cinnamon.

Root Beer

We’re not quite done with roots. In fact, we’ve tried some hard root beer seltzer here at the Flavorman labs and it’s delicious. Stop by and try some.

Elder Flower

Popular in many European dishes and drinks is the elderflower, which is an aromatic that delivers warm floral notes and a subtle amount of sweetness. It’s been described as “tastes like summer,” and we think it would be a lovely addition to the hard seltzer family.

Mint or Mint Julep

You really can’t go wrong with mint. Whether it’s chewing gum, toothpaste, or the mint jelly you put on your lamb, mint is ubiquitous. So why not try it in a hard seltzer? If you really want to get funky, add some bourbon flavor and rock it out with a mint julep hard seltzer.

We could go on for days brainstorming new hard seltzer flavors, but this should be enough to get your creative juices flowing and hit us up with your flavor idea. Of course, we’ll keep everything confidential and we’ll help you turn your idea into the next great beverage. Just contact us and we’ll be on our way.
