How to Place an Order

Flavorman concentrates and dry blends are all custom-made for you. We do not sell “off-the-shelf” recipes or maintain an inventory of generic brands. To help you stay on track with your project’s timeline, here are some guidelines and FAQs to keep in mind when placing an order:

1. Basic Overview

To ensure that your order is received and processed appropriately, orders should be sent to orders@flavorman.com

Once you receive your order confirmation or invoice from us, please confirm your ingredient quantities, pricing, estimated ship date, and shipping location. We’ll be working off this invoice for the rest of the order process, so we want to make sure any mistakes are caught upfront. After we’ve established that our information is correct, all Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs) have been met, and payment has been received, we will begin processing your order.

Flavor concentrate manufacturing is meticulous work. We’re not satisfied until our quality team completes testing on the concentrate to ensure it meets the right specifications. So, once your concentrates have been manufactured, QC tested, and released, we can ship them to your contract manufacturer.

2. Know Your Minimum Order Quantities (MOQS)

Orders are measured by either volume or weight, depending on the type of concentrate (liquid vs. dry). When placing an order, you must purchase a minimum amount per order, referred to as the Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ). Depending on the ingredient, MOQs can vary. For a listing of common MOQs, please refer to the Flavorman FAQs at the bottom of this page.

3. Recognizing Lead Times

Lead times play an integral part in planning your production.  Flavorman is committed to supplying flavors as quickly as possible. Lead times allow for specific raw materials to be ordered and delivered to Flavorman from suppliers all over the world.  Once delivered to our facility, the raw materials are checked for quality, processed and blended to manufacture your flavor concentrate.  Once manufactured, your flavor concentrate is checked for quality and prepared for shipping to your bottling/canning facility.  This entire process averages 20 – 50 business days depending on formulation.  This process and lead time starts when Flavorman receives your payment.

Ordering flavor concentrates and ingredients in larger quantities, as early as possible and prompt payment can shorten lead time issues and avoid delays.  In addition, first-time orders require extra time for processing.

4. Consider Shipping

Shipping speed can vary and is not included in the lead time named above. When placing your order, you should consider lead time as well as estimated transit time to your co-packer to avoid potential problems in your production schedule. Ground shipping costs are included in your invoice. Our domestic shipping terms are Freight On Board (FOB).

ORDERING FAQs

What do I order from Flavorman and where do I find that information?

Flavorman supplies the ingredients that are priced out and in bold on your production formulas. Generally, Flavorman does not supply commodity ingredients — sugar, acids, preservatives, and juices — or other specialty materials. We recommend purchasing these ingredients from the same supplier that was used in the development and shelf life study of your products. The Lab Team will provide this supplier information.

What are Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)?

Ingredients are measured by either volume or weight, depending on the type of concentrate or blend (liquid vs. dry). When placing an order, you must purchase a minimum quantity. MOQs can vary, but the most common are as follows:

Liquid Flavor 5 gallons
Caramel Color 5 gallons
Liquid FD&C Color Blends 1 gallon
Cloud 5 gallons
Dry Blend 55 pounds and up

*Some exceptions may apply

What are my order terms?

Orders placed with Flavorman are processed on a pre-pay basis. Once payment has been received in full, Flavorman can begin procuring the raw materials required to produce your custom concentrate or dry blend.

What is a business day?

A business day is any day in which a business is open. Flavorman is open Monday through Friday, and has five business days in one week. Holidays and other events where we are closed — like during food safety audits — are not considered business days, so these will need to be taken into account when ordering.

What is the lead time for orders?

What is safety stock?

If you can forecast your production needs, one way to reduce your lead time is by purchasing safety stock. This allows us to produce a certain amount of your flavor and store it in our facility for immediate release.

Where should I send my order and what do I need to include?

Send your order directly to orders@flavorman.com to ensure that your order is received and processed appropriately. Remember to assign a Purchase Order (PO) number to your order for clarity, record-keeping, and effective communication.

Will I receive an order confirmation/invoice?

Yes. Once you’ve received your order confirmation, please verify your ingredient quantities, pricing, estimated ship date, and shipping location. We’ll be working off this invoice for the rest of the order process, so we want to make sure any mistakes are caught upfront. After we’ve established that our information is correct, all MOQs have been met, and payment has been received, we will begin processing your order.

What about shipping?

Shipping speed can vary and is not included in lead time. When placing your order, you should consider lead time as well as estimated transit time to avoid potential problems in your production schedule. We will include ground shipping costs as a line item in your invoice. Please note that our domestic shipping terms are Freight On Board (FOB).
