Sweeteners are an important component of most beverages, but sweeteners are not created equal. If you are developing a beverage product, you’ll need to do a little research before you decide which sweetener will work best for you and your concept.

Finding the right sweetener (or more likely a combination of sweeteners) can be a challenge. After all, these additives vary in cost, caloric value, mouthfeel, and intensity of sweetness per volume. Each of these factors affect everything from your product’s pricing to nutritional facts panel to overall taste.
