"It's a dream that I wanted to see if we could get it to go, and when the bottle took the spotlight and triumphed, I knew the recipe was right."

about

A Journey from the Greens

Inspired during a golf trip to New York City, Schiavone's original concoction — a mix of vodka, Fresca, and orange juice — evolved into The Schiavone upon his return to Louisville. Collaborating with a bartender at Hunting Creek Country Club, of which he was a proud member, Schiavone crafted a lighter and more refreshing version with cranberry juice, Fresca, lime, and vodka.

Naming it after himself, Schiavone candidly admits, "I guess it's arrogance at its best." The libation became a favorite among friends and Hunting Creek Country Club members. In 2013, with encouragement from a friend, Schiavone sought the expertise of Flavorman to refine the taste.

One important step was for the beverage architects to craft a proprietary Fresca variant that paid homage to the original without stepping on Coca-Cola's toes. After a thorough tasting party in 2014, The Schiavone emerged victorious, solidifying its place in Louisville's beverage landscape.

With a robust 10% alcohol by volume, The Schiavone is now proudly showcased in packs of four 12-ounce bottles and stands as a testament to the artistry and innovation that define our craft. This local gem, meticulously perfected over 18 months, is poised to capture the hearts and palates of spirited enthusiasts across the city. Here's to The Schiavone—a true Louisville original.

The brand had no technical support so Flavorman was hired to strengthen the product's flavor, quality, and manufacturing processes. The brand did not have quality control specifications, shelf-life data, or tight manufacturing specific actions or instructions.
