About
Mom, Dad, and Flavorman Collide
You’ve likely encountered the Mom and Dad Water duo – two quirky brands loved for their fruit-infused vodka and tequila waters! All of us at Flavorman are thrilled to share their story and our partnership with you. What began as a mix of household ingredients has since grown into a household name, available in 34 states and drank by thousands of loyal fans. And it all started in the Southern Indiana home of Bryce and Jill Morrison.
The First Sip of Mom Water
Jill Morrison craved a refreshing, clean alcoholic beverage to enjoy by the pool, but she wasn’t fond of the typical seltzer taste. She began experimenting with fresh fruit-infused water mixed with vodka, and soon, her friends and family couldn’t get enough of it. They began referring to her boozy refreshments as “Mom Water,” unknowingly planting the first seed for the brand.
“One day, Jill approached me and said we should make this and sell it. Our friends loved it, and I couldn’t find anything like it in the industry. I figured I should start by doing a little research,” says Bryce, reflecting on the moment they considered turning Jill’s creation into a commercial product.
The Infusion of Flavorman
When Bryce and Jill decided to turn Mom Water into a business, a friend referred them to Flavorman for our Beverage Development services. When the couple shared the initial blueprint with our Beverage Architects, they were unsure if the vision could be realized.
Our Beverage Architects had no trouble transforming the Morrison’s water bottle mixtures into a shelf-stable beverage and meeting their goals of low calories, zero carbonation, and fresh fruit flavors. The company launched its first four cans, or “Moms,” each featuring unique flavors and personalities. Sandy, “The Beach Mom,” brings the tropical taste of coconut mango. Linda, “The Cool Mom,” offers a refreshing blueberry peach. Karen, “The Boss,” is a zesty lemon blueberry, and “The World Traveler,” Julie, is infused with passion fruit. Since then, Mom Water has expanded its lineup with more vibrant vodka waters, including Mary (apple melon), Kathy (blackberry lime), Susan (strawberry kiwi), and Nancy (Pineapple Orange).
Katie Clark, Flavorman’s Director of Research and Development, was one of the first on our team to touch Mom Water’s initial formulation. “I remember completing the first four Mom Water flavors. The development process was successful from start to finish. Bryce and Jill were a joy to work with,” says Katie. “Mom Water’s story embodies what Flavorman hopes to execute for all our clients.”
How Mom Met Dad Water
After the successful launch of Mom Water, consumers began asking if the brand would venture into the parental pairing of Dad Water. “We started getting asked, ‘Where’s Dad Water?’ and we’d respond, ‘That’s called beer’ or ‘That’s called Bourbon,’ as a joke,” says Bryce. “But once the questions kept coming, we started thinking about how to execute it.” Motivated by this push for Dad representation, the team opted for a flavored tequila water profile, tapping into the growing popularity of craft agave spirits.
Dad Water currently features four distinct personalities: Gary, “The Artist,” with pineapple jalapeno; Rodney, “The Rebel,” offering bold blood orange; Steve, “The Jock,” with a refreshing grapefruit flavor; and Tom, “The Original,” with classic lime.
A Recipe for Success
The Mom and Dad Water brands have built a dedicated fanbase, drawn in by the company’s core values, quirky personality, and strong sense of community. The team regularly attends football tailgates, golf tournaments, and other pop-up events to boost brand awareness and foster connection—always drawing a crowd. With over 130,000 followers across all social media accounts, the brand is quickly becoming a major player in the industry.
At Flavorman, we are consistently inspired by our clients' creativity and ambition. The story of Mom Water and many others is a testimony to the results of a partnership with Flavorman. This industry-shaking brand spawned from Bryce and Jill’s creative kitchen concoction and a desire to fill a market gap. It only took the Beverage Architects to turn the bottled concoctions into a commercial formulation!
"There are three pillars of the industry: you have your product, your brand, and your story. If you can get at least one of those really good, you have a pretty good chance of success."

Joe Heron acquired a California cider brand after Flavorman crafted a line of "Good For You" sodas (Nutrisoda), later selling the brand to Pepsi Americas. The brand had no technical support so Flavorman was hired to strengthen the product's flavor, quality, and manufacturing processes. The brand did not have quality control specifications, shelf-life data, or tight manufacturing specific actions or instructions.
