Changing What the World is Drinking with Global Partnerships

Published on:

October 9, 2019

Flavorman has been exporting for years, and in the process, we've learned a thing or two about the importance of developing strong client relationships and being active in the global beverage space.

Continuing to increase our exportation capabilities provides just one way we hope to expand our international footprint and work closer to our mission of changing what the world is drinking. That's why we took some time to reflect on our roots, what we've learned so far, and how we see ourselves partnering with clients around the world in the years to come.

Why export?

More than 96% of the world's customers live outside of the United States; that's over 75% of the world's purchasing power. But right now, a mere 1% of US businesses are exporting - significantly less than all other developed countries. And of the relatively few US companies that do export, 58% export to only one country.

With so much untapped potential out there, we say why not look at opportunities for expansion abroad? There's an enormous market beyond what we've got in our backyard and it comes with plenty of exciting opportunities for beverage development. Flavorman's vision has always been to change what the world is drinking, and serving the industry on an international scale allows us to do just that.

Embracing globalizing our brand and increasing our exports also presents a strong growth strategy for us. The global market is right for it and Flavorman is well-equipped to serve that market. Because we've developed a reputation that is second to none on the domestic front, exportation and international expansion are logical next steps for us. There is an enormous market out there, we just need to grow in that direction - so that's what we're doing.

Who are some of our global partners?

With almost 30 years in the beverage development industry, Flavorman has experience dealing with many of the hurdles involved in working in a global market - everything from finding reputable co-packers to navigating regulations to import and export ingredients. That's why in addition to working with clients internationally, Flavorman also values relationships with institutions like the US Commercial Service, US Small Business Administration, KY World Trade Center, US Import-Export Bank, USDA Foreign Agricultural Service, and US Embassies. Each of these relationships are critical to, not only Flavorman's success doing business abroad, but also that of our international clients.

What does exportation have to do with developing client relationships?

In addition to being a sound business opportunity, expanding our global reach furthers another goal central to Flavorman's philosophy - building and strengthening client relationships.

There's a reason why we live by the mantra "from start through finish." Whether we're working locally or developing a partnership overseas, we don't stop short of developing high-quality, custom beverage products for our clients. When a client chooses Flavorman as their beverage development partner, we go the extra mile to provide unparalleled expertise, customer service, and added resources so our clients can then bring their product to market, build a stand-out brand, and manage their business.

Having strong partnerships with our clients is integral to this process, our business model, and our company culture. In other words, Flavorman's role is as essential to our client's success as they are to ours. Whether you're in Australia, Thailand, or someplace else, we'd be happy to work with you; so if you're ready to change what the world is drinking, give us a call.
